My introduction to the Sports Marketing world was with the Stockton Ports. At the time, I was working for a less-than-desirable marketing company, and a friend of mine referred me to the Ports because he was on his way out.
I quickly learned to thrive within the 8am – midnight hours during the 7-game homestands. The baseball diamond became my home and the press box my throne. The chaos caused by last minute lineup changes, injury reports, and season-changing press releases excited me, and it became apparent that I belonged in the sports world.
The Stockton Ports granted me creative freedom with a-frames, promotional items, flyers, social media graphics, web design, game day programs, and brochures. I was also fortunate enough to work closely with Cameron Bloch of the Everett AquaSox, as we created their season ticket book together.
